Connecting battery cells and sensing signals
A battery interconnect assembly connects the cells and carries voltage and temperature signals to the monitoring system. It can combine busbars, sensing connections, insulation, terminals, and locating parts, depending on the battery design.
Designed around your cell layout
We work with your cell layout, terminal positions, and monitoring connections to develop the assembly. You may know this as a cell contact assembly (CCA), current-collector assembly, or cell contact system (CCS). Send the drawing or list of parts so we can see exactly what your project needs.
| Cell connections | Cell type and layout, terminal positions, connection pattern, and connections between cells and modules. |
|---|---|
| Current collection | Main-current path, operating duty, conductor interfaces, joining method, and installation envelope. |
| Sensing interface | Voltage and temperature sensing points, connectors or harnesses, and connections to the monitoring system. |
| Insulation & location | Covered and exposed areas, locating features, retention requirements, assembly sequence, and customer safety specifications. |
What to send with a battery assembly RFQ
Send the cell and module layout, terminal drawings, current and voltage, sensing points, insulation requirements, and available space. Include sample and production quantities and your target date. Let us know whether this is a new design, a second-source project, or a change to an existing assembly.
How we can help
We can help with conductor and terminal design, material selection, joining, sensing connections, insulation, and manufacturability. We then agree the sample design and test plan with you. Manufacturing and shipment are arranged through qualified manufacturing partners, with Ampnera supporting production introduction.
Testing the assembly
Sample tests can check fit, electrical continuity, connection resistance, insulation, and sensing connections. We agree the test conditions and acceptance limits with you. Any full-module or battery-pack tests need a separate test plan.
Common questions
What does a battery CCA do?
A battery CCA connects cells and carries their voltage and temperature signals to the monitoring system. The busbars, sensing connections, insulation, and other parts depend on the module design.
Is a complete BMS included?
We help with the cell connections and sensing assembly. If you also need BMS hardware, software, or battery-pack design, tell us so we can discuss that work separately.
Can you help with a BBU module?
Yes. Send the module layout, current requirements, sensing connections, and insulation requirements. Tell us whether you need a new design, a replacement part, or samples for testing.
